Your villa for holidays in the Amalfi coast

Amalfi is the largest city on the Amalfi Coast and, together with Positano, attracts many tourists. Who sees Amalfi for the first time is speechless. In fact, this stretch of the Campania coast overlooking the Gulf of Salerno is famous all over the world for its naturalistic beauty.

A nature that is still unspoiled and wild, despite the large number of tourists it welcomes all year round. A breathtaking landscape so much so that this corner of paradise has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Amalfi is characterized by a set of white houses that climb the Latatri Mountains and drop sheer to the sea.

Those who come to these parts must visit Piazza Duomo and the Cathedral from which you can admire the wonderful white colonnades and the Cloister of Paradise. The latter was built in 1266 and houses the graves of the most prominent citizens of the city. In Piazza Duomo, there is the Fountain of San’Andrea which represents the statue of the Patron Saint with the cross of martyrdom and below, some little cherubs and a siren from which water gushes from the breasts.

Also worth seeing is the Paper Museum which still preserves the original printing machines still in perfect working order. If you have decided to discover Amalfi up close, you will need to book accommodation; among the most beautiful in the area there is certainly the villa for holidays in the amalfi coast, Villa Algarrobos.
